Migrant Education Data System

The Vendor is required to provide migrant education data system that uploads migrant student data to migrant student data exchange (MSIX) daily and provides required reporting.
- System will be able to perform the following:
• Provide a comprehensive migrant education data system that uploads migrant student data to MSIX daily
• Meet the requirements of the data exchange interface requirements
• Allow for local district migrant programs to enter the data
• Collect data on all MSIX MDE’s as well as all of the required data for migrant education for the report
• Produce an accurate report at the end of each performance period
• Meet all of the requirements of the office of migrant education
• Has strategies in place to help ensure the eligibility of all migrant students
• Allow local districts to enter electronic certificates of eligibility that are approved by the state
• Help identify priority for service students (PFS)
• Updateable with any new requirements by the office of migrant education within 60 days
- The migrant education data system will have the following specifications:
• Include every eligible migrant student in state each performance period (September 1st of the current year to august 31st of the following year)
• Incorporate electronic COEs to document all eligible migrant families
• Include data fields to enter all of the minimum data elements required by MSIX
• Include data fields to enter all of the data by student required by OME for the report
• Upload to MSIX daily (i.e. Monday through Friday each week)
• Generate a report with all of the required data fields each year at the end of the performance period.
