The Vendor is required to provide eBooks and eAudiobook platform for include:
- Non-functional requirements:
1. Hosting:
• Provide for back-up and disaster recovery models and plans as needed for the solution.
• Abide by ITIL best practices for change requests, incident management, problem management and service desk.
2. Application solution:
• The backup/recover, data retention and disaster recovery of a contracted/hosted application solution.
• Application management and design standard of all technology platforms and environments for the application solution.
- Functional requirements:
1. Circulation:
• Check out eBooks and audiobooks.
• Renew items.
• Return items early.
• Download items so they can be available without internet access.
2. Reading:
• Read eBooks.
• Change font size and style, create bookmarks, and move between chapters.
3. Listening:
• Listen to audiobooks.
• Change playback speed.
• Skip ahead or back in small increments or chapters, create bookmarks, and move between chapters.
4. Compatibility:
• Available android app (list oldest compatible version of android).
• Available iOS app (list oldest compatible version of iOS).
• If you offer a patron-facing web-interface for searching/reading/listening, list any major web browsers it is not compatible with.
5. Search:
• Filter by genre, audience age, item availability, and format.
• Preference given for filter by language.
6. Libraries:
• Libraries can purchase items individually for their own patrons.
• These items can be transferred to the main collection if no longer needed.
