The Vendor is required to provide flight information display system (FIDS) is a mission-critical component of the airport designed to provide real-time flight information to passengers, airport staff, and airline partners.
- Requirement:
• FIDS supports the seamless display of arrivals, departures, gate assignments, and other operational data across the airport campus.
• FIDS environment that is accurate, resilient, secure, accessible, scalable, operationally intuitive, visually consistent, and adaptable across terminals, display types, and digital channels.
• The solution should support flight information, baggage information, gate information, counter information, ramp information, visual paging, emergency messaging, and public information, branded content, wayfinding support, approved audio or spoken messaging, and other digital communication needs as authorized by the authority.
• System should function as an integrated digital information platform capable of managing flight data, visual and audio enabled content, emergency messaging, operational communications, device health, analytics, reporting, and user-controlled content under appropriate governance and controls.
• System shall display and manage flight, passenger, operational, wayfinding, public information, and the authority-approved content in a manner that is accurate, accessible, consistent, and easy to manage.
• System shall support visual paging, public messaging, emergency communications, pre-approved message libraries, scheduled and urgent messages, message expiration, targeted zones, review workflows, audit history, and return to normal operations after an emergency or override event.
• The system shall support modern content design and template capabilities, including template libraries, responsive layouts, display orientation variations, multi-screen canvas layouts, airline branding, airport branding, motion graphics, video, layered graphics, clocks, icons, and automated population of content from data feeds.
• The system shall support content scheduling by date, time, event, flight, airline, resource assignment, operational status, business rule, emergency trigger, and manual override.
• Solution shall support, at minimum, flight information display system (FIDS), baggage information display system (BIDS), gate information display system (GIDS), counter or ticketing information display system (CIDS/TIDS), ramp information display system (rids), visual paging, emergency messaging, public information, airport branding, wayfinding-related content, advertising or media content where approved, and future display or communication categories designated by the authority.
• Solution shall include a modern content management capability for creating, approving, scheduling, publishing, monitoring, and retiring content across individual displays, zones, banks of displays, large-format video walls, audio capable endpoints where approved, and other passenger-facing or operational endpoints.
• Identify dependencies, timelines, testing windows, operational impacts, and decision points early and manage them through an approved project governance process.
