Database Design and Application Development

The Vendor is required to provide database design and application development.
- Goals
• Track preclinical laboratory assessments
• Track clinical patient encounter assessments using the def assessment model
• Generate real-time dashboards displaying student performance
• Produce reports documenting competency progression
• Support individualized student coaching and education plans
• Measure interrater reliability between student and faculty evaluations
• Support faculty calibration efforts
• Provide documentation demonstrating compliance with commission on dental accreditation (coda) dental therapy standards
• Continue providing secure reporting for students and faculty across simulation laboratories, community rotations, preceptorships, and the dental clinic
- Requirement:
• Review the existing dental tracker database
• Design enhancements for preclinical assessment tracking
• Develop database modifications and user interfaces
• Implement assessment workflows
• Integrate new reporting functionality
• Conduct pilot testing
• Refine the application based on user feedback
• Prepare technical documentation
• Develop student and faculty user guides
• Provide implementation support
- Functional requirements:
• Operate as a secure cloud-based application
• Utilize two-factor authentication
• Include a dedicated URL with domain and secure hosting
• Protect student and patient confidentiality using industry best practices
• Allow authorized users to enter, edit, and report assessment data
• Produce real-time dashboards and printable reports
• Export reports in csv format
• Support management of:
• Simulation laboratory
• Clinical sites
• Community rotations
• Preceptorship sites
• Permit future enhancements and scalability
• Be fully owned by college upon project completion.
