Transportation Analytics Platform

The Vendor is required to provide transportation analytics platform (TAP) to assist planning, monitoring and operating the local transportation network.
- Requirement:
1. On-demand capabilities desired within the service area will include:
• Vehicle miles traveled (VMT)
• Average annual daily traffic (AADT) counts
• Traffic counts to within 15-minute increments
• Turning movement counts (TMC) that are accurate at low and high volume intersections and detailed enough for event monitoring
• Corridor speeds for custom-defined distances and time periods for all street classifications
• Multimodal mobility data to capture alternate travel modes along selected corridors
• Travel time analysis for interstates, freeways, and arterials from user-selected beginning and ending points with the ability to reverse directions easily
• Origin – destination (o-d) data for custom-defined locations from arterials to local residential streets
• Vehicle classification and trip analysis
• Bottleneck identification and congestion trends
• The ability to identify temporary disruptions in traffic and analyze the resulting travel impacts
• Safety metrics comparing roadway use with crash data
• Comparison/analytics of historical and current or real-time data
• Ability to do batch analyses such as turning movement counts at multiple intersections on a periodic basis with a single project
• Speed dashboard showing posted speeds vs average and 85th percentile speeds for all streets within the service area updated at least monthly
• Near real-time speed and congestion data for higher classification streets to assist with traffic operations
2. Accessibility:
• The tap shall be cloud-hosted and accessible wherever internet is available.
• All EXPENSES and fees associated with hosting and accessing the data shall be included in the subscription fee.
• The user interface should be intuitive to use with easy-to-understand visualization tools.
3. Users:
• The TAP shall be usable by any governmental stakeholder performing transportation-related work within the area.
• Access must also be made available to consultants performing similar work for the government and the organization.
