The Vendor is required to provide public address and terminal paging system headend, including servers, software, amplifiers, and any other hardware required to provide the airport with a turnkey, full featured, and fully functioning pa/terminal address system.
- System requirements:
• IP and Dante protocol system and components.
• Redundant headend with proposal for highly available or fail-over scenarios to maximize system uptime and function in 24x7x365+ airport environment.
• Spare parts ready to hot swap including (3) spare paging stations, (6) spare microphones, (2) spare channels/cards, failover DSPS, backup amplifiers at correct settings to facilitate redundancy and fast recovery. Minimum quantities listed, service provider may make recommendations.
• Centralized management, configuration backup and change tracking, monitoring, and alerting leveraging industry best practice snmpv3 or similar.
• Industrial grade, POE powered, Dante compatible, IP paging stations/consoles with intuitive zone selection, group paging, emergency announcement interrupt from designated locations, and replaceable/serviceable parts and microphones.
• Integrate with approximately 540 existing 70v/100v Atlasied ceiling speakers and surface mount speakers.
• Redundant power-supplies where possible on hardware, especially within racks in audio/network closets.
• Network configuration to facilitate gigabit Ethernet, mixed network traffic, quality of service (QOS), DSCP tagging, support for multicast, and any Dante or other network needs.
• Capability of system to integrate with SGF flight information display system (fids) terminal systems international (TSI) for visual paging
• System needs to support pre-recorded, scheduled, and live announcements with prioritized override and ample storage for announcements. Current “live” announcements are recorded and played back as a preference.
• System audio quality to meet or exceed “excellent” rated speech transmission index (STI), appropriate signal-to-noise ratio (snr) to exceed ambient/background noise by 10-15 DB, and a sound pressure level (SPL) minimum 85 db.
• System interface to be graphical user interface “web-based” (GUI).
• All access must be role-based access, audited, with multi-factor authentication.
• System and components must be manufacturer supported, able to receive security and feature updates, and not on end-of-life operating systems.
• System must not rely on public internet access.
• Must be able to run on-premises without impact to functionality, be patchable, secure, and isolated from other networks.
• Pre-recorded announcement interface is simple with non-proprietary file formats so that recorded announcements may be easily recorded, added/removed by airport staff with appropriate storage considerations for storing audio announcement files.
• Software to support multilingual announcements and music.
