Population and Growth Modelling Software

The Vendor is required to provide population and growth modelling software that can integrate demographic, economic development, housing, building permit, assessment, land supply, and infrastructure-related data to produce transparent, repeatable, and scenario-based population projections.
- Software capabilities
• Population, household, age cohort, and demographic forecasting.
• Scenario modelling using alternative assumptions for growth rates, housing supply, occupancy, persons per unit based on the housing type, migration, aging, economic development opportunities and development timing.
• Integration with statistics state, provincial projection data, municipal building permit data, public works infrastructure data, assessment data, ongoing and approved development applications, recreation and parkland needs, GIS layers, and other local datasets.
• Mapping and spatial analysis capabilities, including projections by community, neighborhood, strategic growth areas, other settlement area, economic development data, traffic zones, servicing area, or custom geography.
• Compatibility with common municipal systems, including GIS, spreadsheet, database, and business intelligence tools.
