The Vendor is required to provide the Board with interpreter and captioning services for deaf and hard of hearing individuals using American Sign Language (ASL), spoken language, and Real-time Captioning (RTC).
- Provide virtual/remote American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting and virtual/remote Real-time captioning services for meetings, events, and conferences as designated and agreed upon by agency.
- Provide agency with interpreter and captioning services for deaf and hard of hearing individuals using American Sign Language (ASL), spoken language, and Real-time Captioning (RTC) on-site at agency Central Office Campus and field offices
- Captioner(s) and interpreter(s) are required to remain on-site regardless of immediate demand for service and shall remain available when not engaged in providing services.
- For on-call services that are in addition to the contracted on-site interpreter(s) or captioner(s), there is a minimum of two (2) hours applied to each on-call request.
- Interpreter(s) and captioner(s) performing work under this Agreement shall possess special personal characteristics such as neatness, willingness to follow directions; sensitivity to the communication process between deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing persons and the needs of the persons involved in that process; and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
