Real-Time Captioning Services

The Vendor is required to provide communication access real time translation (cart) or “real-time captioning” for deaf or hearing-impaired incarcerated persons (IPS) to allow them to view captions instantly.
- Requirement:
• Real-time captioning services in English, both remote and in-person, using Microsoft teams and cisco video conferencing with captioners who meet the requirements set out in this contract at all the dates, times and locations required by board.
• Responsible to and shall affirm they have the capacity and capability to, assign and provide real-time captioning services with captioners who meet the requirements set out in this contract at all of the dates, times and locations
• Responsible for advising captioners that hearing start times are approximate and may be delayed for a variety of reasons including, but not limited to, an earlier hearing running late, a current hearing running late, or technical issues during a video conference proceeding or hearing.
• Captioner is required be available for the entire proceeding or hearing to continue their cart services until the proceeding or hearing has been completed.
