The Vendor is required to provide the third-party agency’s primary role will be to assist agency in developing and releasing a robust procurement bid for food distribution beginning with the 2025–26 school year.
- The third-party agency must demonstrate extensive experience in:
• Negotiating with food manufacturers and brokers.
• Managing agency compliance requirements.
• Supporting large-scale food distribution procurements.
- Key responsibilities include:
• Collaborating with agency staff to gather and analyze procurement data.
• Conducting outreach to distribution houses, manufacturers, and brokers.
• Structuring the bid to maximize savings and ensure agency and local regulatory compliance.
• Negotiating favorable pricing agreements that provide long-term value for participating SFAs.
- The third-party agency will provide detailed financial reporting throughout the process, including real-time insights into spending, savings, and vendor performance.
- These reports will ensure transparency, support decision-making, and demonstrate the value delivered through the procurement.
- Required to pay an administrative fee, calculated as a percentage of sales, directly to the third-party agency.
- A portion of this fee may be shared with the lead agency.
