The Vendor is required to provide consulting services in health insurance (including high deductible health plans and traditional plans), prescription drug plans, dental insurance, life insurance/AD&D, disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, COBRA, employee wellness and employee assistance programs (EAP).
- Work will includes, but is not limited to, assistance in the preparation, design, education, communication, solicitation, presentation and implementation of plans, sharing of expertise and industry standards in all aspects covering insurance for employee benefits program.
- Ongoing professional services as requested by the City will include such work, not all inclusive:
analyzing and reviewing providers, benchmarking, providing claim resolution assistance, assisting with the design and implementation of the program, recommending plan designs, assisting with ongoing maintenance and future development of wellness programs, assisting with the administration of COBRA and flexible spending accounts OR assisting in setting City up with subcontractor(s) to assist with these items, employee surveys and education, monitoring plans and the overall program, loss control analysis, financial plan design and analysis, legislative compliance, premium negotiations, renewal negotiations, request for proposals, voluntary benefits, marketing, presentations to staff and City Council, and preparation and implementation of an employee benefit communication program covering all aspects of the City’s benefits program.
- Presentations of written reports shall include, but not limited to, utilization data, cost containment/cost savings study, cost comparisons of various plans, projects future costs for budgetary presentations and recommendations on plan designs.
