The Vendor is required to provide a Third-Party Claims Administrator (TPA) to support and manage new Workers Compensation (WC) and/or Liability claims.
- We are also seeking Risk Control Services to include program development and safety training.
- To serve the City as a strategic partner and resource in all matters related to safety & risk, insurance, and workers compensation.
- The selected TPA will administer new Worker’s Compensation and/or Liability claims from end-to-end effective July 1, 2026.
- City Risk Manager will be included in the selection of any new staff on our account. City Risk Manager reserves the right to remove staff from our account for poor performance on our account.
- Dedicated technology team that supports a vision to integrate AI and future technologies in a seamless manner.
- Provide superior service with timely responses and a clearly identified support team.
- Dedicated resources for Risk Control services and at least one consistent resource who can have a regular onsite presence and develop strong relationships with all levels of employees.
- Risk Control: Resources must have experience with written program development, providing safety training.
- Additional service requests may include ergonomic evaluations and/or playground inspections.
- Experienced Work Comp Claim Supervisor(s).
- A minimum of one litigation specialist Lost Time adjustor. This adjustor or the WC Claims supervisor must act as our WC Counsel’s single point of contact.
- Dedicated resources to assist City Risk Management with developing a comprehensive Return-to-Work framework and a Managed Care Plan.
- Ability to issue payroll vouchers/paper transactions rather than live checks. Alternatively, provide a similar solution to track indemnity paid through the City/BOE. Must also be available to participate in regularly scheduled reconciliations with City payroll.
- Provide timely and appropriate reporting to Excess carrier.
- End-to-end claims administration for General Liability, Auto Liability and Professional Liability claims.
- Provide timely and appropriate reporting to Excess carrier.
- Partner with Corporation Counsel who typically represents the City on all claims in suit.
- Regularly scheduled meetings with Risk Management Office to address any general administrative matters as well as staff performance, accounting and/or IT issues.
