Unemployment Cost and Claims Management

The Vendor is required to provide transparent, effective, and efficient service delivery for the citizens.
- Responsible for carrying out the City’s mission, vision, and values by overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of City Hall, coordinating and implementing innovative solutions to reform city government, and ensuring the city is fiscally responsible.
- Maintain a continuing research program and audit benefit payments and charges, thus identifying the source of erroneous or unwarranted payments and reasons therefore and formatting a procedure for correction of these deficiencies of commission or omission. Such research shall include but is not limited to review of the official personnel files of the City and the Sheriff, review of the departmental personnel files and records, and interviewing appropriate personnel who know facts relevant to claimant's cases.
- Examine the personnel practices of the City and the sheriff as it pertains to compliance with directives, rules, and regulations designed to protect the rights of the city and the sheriff under the security law and make recommendations for needed policy changes.
- Provide individual training materials, included, but not limited to, a supervisor’s guide, to be distributed to the employees attending the training sessions. The necessary information including, but not limited to, pamphlets and guides on unemployment insurance protection of the City's and the Sheriffs rights will have to be provided for approximately 200 employees at the annual training session.
- Represent the City and the Sheriff at any appearance or in the preparation of correspondence and reports not requiring the services of legal counsel. Provide technical assistance when the services of legal counsel are required.
- Follow up on all disqualifications affected by previous actions to ensure that full benefits of such actions are derived.
