The Vendor is required to provide from property, casualty, automobile, and workers compensation insurance providers, agents, and brokers for insurance coverage for the fiscal year October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027 for coverages including but not necessarily limited to general liability, errors & omissions, law enforcement liability, breach response & cyber liability, automobile, property, inland marine, storage tank liability, and workers compensation.
- Requirement:
1. Statement of understanding
• Provide a statement of the insurance companies, agents, and brokerage’s understanding of governmental entity/municipal insurance coverages and risk services.
• Include a statement indicating how the insurance company, agent, and brokerage, at a minimum, is able to meet all the principal areas.
2. Risk assessment and analysis
• Summarize the insurance companies, agents, and brokerage’s process for conducting risk assessments and analysis for clients similar to the city.
• Samples of internal or external reports produced as a result of such assessments and analysis.
• Based on the information currently available, identify emerging risks related to the city’s operations or risks that warrant greater attention.
3. Loss control
• Provide a summary of the internal and external resources allocated to loss control, along with the rationale behind the recommended loss control program. Summarize the methods used to implement and evaluate the effectiveness of loss control services.
4. Claims
• Summary of claims resources, both internal and external, to be assigned to the city.
• Include a description or flowchart outlining the assignment of duties, communications, and processes for handling property, workers’ compensation, and third-party liability claims.
• References for expert resources available to manage unusually complex claims.
• Summarize proposed claims management processes or audit functions available through the insurance company, agent, and brokerage.
5. Data management
• Comment on the projected data management needs for the city and outline the insurance companies, agents, and brokerage’s approach to meeting those needs.
• Include resources or systems that may enhance risk management through improved data handling and analysis.
