Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Services

The vendor is required to provide non-emergency medical transportation coordinator services program which coordinates and pays for transportation of eligible medicaid members to medical care or services, which are covered under the medicaid program.
- Non-emergency medical transportation services by:
• Improving how healthy connections medicaid members interact with the agency;
• Implementing a person-centered, comprehensive transportation approach that will aid members to achieving their optimal overall health through timely NEMT services that are easy to access;
• Developing and implementing outreach and education activities that would increase the number of eligible members accessing NEMT services and reduce the number of missed or broken appointments due to lack of transportation, thereby improving the member’s overall health; and
• Monitoring expenditure and utilization trends to ensure the services are provided in the most cost effective manner and only for eligible NEMT services.
- Contract Period/Term: 3 years
