The Vendor is required to provide elevator phone installation and monitoring services for include:
1. Emergency elevator phone installation
• Provide all labor, materials, and permitting and inspection for installation of emergency telephones in passenger elevators.
• Includes but not limited to phones, cellular dialers, backup batteries, wiring up to six (6) feet, permitting, etc. to complete a turnkey cellular elevator phone installation project.
• New elevator phones and cellular systems shall meet all local jurisdiction code requirements for emergency elevator phone monitoring.
• Provide, at no additional cost to owner, a warranty on all parts and labor; lifetime warranties are preferred.
• Provide maintenance and repair services when necessary.
• All repairs to equipment shall be performed by a certified elevator technician.
• These services shall be covered under the monthly service cost.
2. Monitoring and dispatch services
• Contractor monitoring and dispatch services shall meet the new 2019 ASME a-17.1 and 2.27.1 car emergency signaling devices for visual communication in elevator cab.
• This includes support for non-verbal and hearing-impaired passengers.
• Two-way visual communication systems (video and text-based messaging) must be supported if and when needed.
• Capable of providing a complete turnkey solution for compliance with these code requirements.
• This shall include all hardware, software, integration, installation, and testing to support full code compliance.
• Provide 24/7/365 emergency phone monitoring.
• Provide translation for non-English speaking residents and dispatch appropriate emergency response personnel including but not limited to: mesa fire and medical department, mesa police department, city elevator service provider and city facilities department.
