The vendor is required to provide landscaping maintenance services for all labor, materials tools, instrumentation and equipment to satisfactorily complete the work.
- Provide sufficient number of employees required to perform the work, as outlined in this contract; the number of employees may fluctuate during the year, depending on higher or lower seasonal needs; employees will be expected to have all the necessary training, skills and equipment required to accomplish the work.
- Provide at least one (1) full time on-site foreman available to communicate with the district at all times during normal business hours; the foreman shall be responsible for managing all aspects of the contract including staff, equipment and scheduling work.
- All equipment (vehicles, mowers, hand tools, etc.) used in the performance of landscape maintenance shall be kept in an optimal working order to ensure the equipment operates as the manufacturer intended; this shall include, but not be limited to, all necessary adjustments, sharpening, calibrations and maintenance recommended by the manufacturer.
- Contractor shall perform weekday operations between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekend operations shall only be allowed upon prior written authority by the district’s facility maintenance supervisor or designee.
- Tasks are typical of the tasks contractor shall be expected to perform during the execution of this contract; contractor shall perform said tasks either in conjunction with district staff or independently:
• Litter removal and removing litter and debris from landscape and hardscape areas
• Replacement planting of annuals
• Mulching
• Weed control
• Trimming and pruning of perennials and groundcover
• Trimming and pruning of shrubs
• Trimming and pruning of trees under 15’ in height; keeping clear of buildings and equipment
• Line trimming and field mowing in rural areas
• Pesticide application in compliance with the state department of pesticide regulation’s rules
• Cleaning of drainage ditches
- Tasks may be required on an as-need basis and would be considered extra work.
