The vendor is required to provide to supply personal protective equipment (PPE) designed to ensure the safety and health of city employees and contractors engaged in public service, maintenance, and emergency response activities.
- Provide high-quality PPE that complies with applicable standards and regulations, ensuring maximum protection against workplace hazards while promoting the well-being of our workforce.
- Types of PPE required
a. Protective clothing:
• Coveralls (type 5/6, as per EN 13982-1/EN 13034)
• Apron (chemical resistant, Institute /ISEA 105)
• Hi-visibility vests (class 2, Institute /ISEA 107)
b. Head protection:
• Hard hats (type i and ii, ANSI z89.1)
• Protective helmets with face shields for specific applications (Institute z87.1)
c. Eye and face protection:
• Sunglasses with UV protection (ANSI z87.1)
• Safety goggles with anti-fog feature (ANSI z87.1)
d. Hand protection:
• Heavy-duty work gloves (Institute or ISEA 105)
• Chemical-resistant gloves (EN 374)
e. Respiratory protection:
• Disposable n95 respirators (Institute approved)
• Half-mask air-purifying respirators with filters (Institute approved)
f. Foot protection:
• Steel-toed work boots (Institute f2413)
• Slip-resistant footwear (Institute f2913)

• Ear protection (earplugs and earmuffs, Institute s3.19)
• Fall protection gear (Institute z359.1).
