The vendor is required to provide mitigation and monitoring services, and related environmental services, on a work order basis for county.
- The capital improvement program (CIP) mitigation and monitoring program helps to ensure that mitigation and permit-required landscaped areas achieve their stated purpose and comply with the permit obligations.
- The consultant shall perform the mitigation and monitoring-related work required to ensure that the county mitigation sites comply with the federal, state and local rules and regulations and projects specific permit conditions where applicable.
- The consultant may perform pre-construction, construction, and post-construction observations and studies to assess anticipated project impacts, determine mitigation requirements, develop and implement mitigation designs, and evaluate mitigation site success including, but not limited to:
• Stream, river and floodplain studies
• Wetland studies
• Fish use studies
• Wildlife use studies
• Critical areas assessments
• Vegetation coverage and survival studies
• Mitigation and monitoring plans, including mitigation site design
• Annual mitigation site monitoring and maintenance reports
• Construction-related services such as bird surveys, fish relocations, noise monitoring, water quality monitoring, or air quality monitoring
• Groundwater well installation and monitoring
• Water temperature, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, or other water quality parameter testing and monitoring
• Flow monitoring during heavy rain events
• GIS (geographic information system) mapping and location of mitigation assets
• Other environmental studies as required by regulatory agencies.
