The Vendor is required to provide comprehensive employee assistance program (EAP) range of counselling services to city employees and their immediate families, including in-person counselling, telephonic counselling, video counselling, e-counselling, chat and health and wellness resources through a web portal and mobile AP, and newsletters.
- The service provider shall be capable of responding and providing superior guidance with respect to a multitude of issues, including but not limited to:
• Career counselling;
• Childcare information;
• Eldercare information;
• Expectant and new parents;
• Financial counselling;
• Homecare advisory service;
• Legal advisory service;
• Nutritional consultation
• Practical parenting;
• Relationship information
• School age decisions;
• Smoking cessation;
• Special needs;
• Trauma and crisis counselling;
• Stress;
• Addictions;
• Depression and anxiety;
• Grief;
• Retirement counselling; and
• Youth line.
- Wellness seminars
• The service provider shall provide wellness seminars upon request.
• At least two seminars (standard seminars) shall be available free of charge in each calendar year of the contract.
- Mandatory EAP referral
• The service provider shall accommodate a mandatory EAP referral program, for use by management and employees.
- Account management and advisory services
• Confirmation that the first appointment was scheduled and attended;
• Confirmation that subsequent appointments were attended;
• Confirmation that the employee is actively participating and engaging in the program service; and
• Confirmation of completion of the program services.
