- The selected firm will assess the current website’s content organization, usability, accessibility, and technical framework, and deliver a new solution that is modern, user-centered, simple to navigate and easy to maintain.
- The updated site must meet the needs of a diverse audience—residents looking for services, businesses seeking resources, and visitors exploring the community—while empowering staff to manage content efficiently.
• User-friendly and flexible platform: outline your proposed platform solution, emphasizing flexibility, ease of use, and scalability. Include recommendations for any complementary tools or products that will support ongoing usability and maintenance.
• Creative direction and design: present your vision for a clean, modern, and intuitive website design, informed by input from city staff. At minimum, you will be expected to provide at least three distinct design concepts for review, including:
1. Global navigation elements (e.g., headers, footers)
2. Templates for primary, secondary, and tertiary content pages
3. Design variations for microsites used in campaigns and events
• Content migration plan: submit a detailed written plan for migrating existing website content to the new CMS. This should include an evaluation of which content will be retained, revised, or retired during the transition.
• CMS evaluation and recommendation: provide a written assessment of your proposed content management system (CMS), detailing how it meets the city’s needs and supports the design and functional elements outlined above.
• Project management services: describe your project management methodology, including coordination with city staff through regular meetings, weekly progress updates, and a project kick-off session.
