The Vendor is required to provide to research, write, and edit grant proposals and funding opportunity applications from a variety of sources, including local, state, and federal government and philanthropic sources, for recommendation to the county administrator.
- Vendors(s) will report to county administrator and have a coordinating relationship with administrative leadership and county staff at all levels to coordinate grants.
- Services include:
• Research and analyze prospective funding opportunities.
• Coordinate the full range of activities required to prepare and submit grant proposals in compliance with county policy and procedure.
• Seek grants in multiple areas, including but not limited to:
o Climate/ sustainability
o Infrastructure development
o Programming for targeted populations (youth, older adults, economically marginalized, etc.)
o Housing/ homelessness support
o Software, enterprise solutions and/or targeted technical assistance
o Assessment and research
• Write, edit, recommend, and ultimately submit grant proposals, on behalf of county, from a variety of funding sources including local, state, federal and philanthropic.
• Conduct case-building (analysis of demographic trends, educational research, pulling and analyzing data) research to support grant proposals.
• Maintain a calendar of grant opportunities, pending applications, post-award reports that is shared with administrative leadership.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with funders and prospective funders.
• Establish and maintain a regular reporting, frequency to be determined, with the county administrator or his designee.
• At the end of the contract period, deliver a report of grants submitted, awarded, not awarded.
