The Vendor is required to provide professional grant writing and consulting services.
- Provide to identify one or more experienced firms to assist the City in identifying, researching, preparing, drafting, and submitting grant applications to federal, state, and private funding sources aligned with municipal priorities.
- Grant Identification
• Conduct proactive research of funding opportunities at federal, state, and foundation levels.
• Provide regular updates of relevant grant opportunities aligned with city strategic priorities: infrastructure, public safety, economic development, housing, community services, recreation, environment, public health, technology, and education.
• Maintain a living calendar of upcoming grant deadlines and dissemination to designated city staff.
• Maintain a master list of all submitted, pending, approved, and declined grants. Update regularly and available to dept. Heads and oversight lead to ensure transparency & preventing duplication.
- Grant Strategy & Consultation
• Work with city department heads, elected officials, and staff to prioritize funding needs.
• Recommend short- and long-term grant strategies.
• Advice on match requirements, eligibility risks, and funding landscape trends specific to state and national sources.
- Grant Proposal Development
• Perform eligibility assessments and feasibility analyses.
• Provide written applications that comply with all funder instructions and requirements.
• Draft narratives, budgets, budget narratives, performance metrics, logic models, supporting documentation, and ancillary materials.
• Coordinate with City personnel for data, documentation, letters of support, and internal approvals.
• Review and edit materials prior to submission.
