The Vendor is required to provide written expression screener services for include:
• Provide a list of all languages in which the screener can administer assessments for the purpose of assessing English learners in their native language, when possible.
• Supplemental intervention solutions or additional instructional materials that teachers will have access to support ongoing, targeted instruction based on skill deficits identified through the screener results.
• Diagnostic assessments to identify specific skill deficits that teachers can target with instructional strategies and interventions.
• Indicate all accommodations accessible for special populations in a list, including but not limited to students with disabilities.
• Address how the written expression screener accommodates large print, text-to-speech, and extended time to the extent they maintain the validity of the assessment.
• Indicate how the written expression screener could be administered on paper for students receiving accommodations through an individualized education program (IEP), 504 plan under the individuals with disabilities in education act (IDEA), or an English language academic plan (ELAP).
• The paper assessment is scored, identify parties responsible for scoring, describe how those parties are trained to score the paper screener, and specify the timeframe in which the data can be interpreted by the local education agency.
• The supplier will indicate whether large print and braille options are available for students requiring those accommodations.
• The supplier will describe solutions for the handling and shipping of paper materials.
• Indicate the minimum system requirements necessary for devices used to complete the universal screener.
• The product should be accessible and operational on Chromebook and iPad devices.
• The customer service and help desk services provided by the supplier to local education agencies and the department.
• Indicate how the supplier ensures assessment security during remote proctoring of the screener.
• Identify all available languages for family resources, reports, and example activities that support the development of written expression skills.
• Indicate if supplier agrees to submit to third-party studies for the purpose of aligning their screener to the standards and performance levels required by the department as well as agree to provide information needed to support documentation and concordance for accountability.
• Provide test data records in a form compliant with schools interoperability framework (SIF) unity for import into the state department of education’s data lake.
• Data via application programming interface (API) unless an alternative method is expressly approved by the department.
