Audit Services

The vendor is required to provide auditing services for housing authority’s compliance with the requirements governing the federal grants received by the housing authority.
- Audit standards and requirements:
• The housing authority has not constructed, or acquired, any housing units since the time of the last audit, which was conducted for the 12-month period ending June 30, 2024; over the last year all public housing units have transitioned out of public housing.
• The housing authority operates a revenue bond program in which the housing authority partners with housing providers by offering housing mortgage revenue bonds through which the authority collects loan administration fees; currently, there are three (3) revenue bonds being administered.
• Effective the year ending June 30, 2000, the housing authority prepares its financial statements using generally accept accounting principles (GAAP).
• Effective the year ending June 30, 2007, the housing authority adopted department project based budgeting and accounting standards.
- The audits are performed in accordance with government auditing standards.
