The Vendor is required to provide transit farebox collection, counting and deposit services.
- Provide to acquire information from industry experts regarding transit farebox revenue counting and deposit services.
- Services may include removing cash vault bins from the agency administration building, replacing with empty vault bins, transporting to a contractor’s counting facility, preparing cash and coins for deposit, and ensuring safe transport of the deposit to a designated banking facility on behalf of agency.
- Your expertise in secure and efficient cash handling would be invaluable in helping us identify best practices and any innovative solutions you might suggest.
- At least one, but possibly two vault bins will need to be picked up at least three times a week during normal work hours (Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm) from the agency administration building for secure counting and deposit unless other solutions are identified.
- The vault bins are approximately 37”l x 30”w x 31”h and weigh between 460 lbs. (empty) and 1200 lbs. (full) and have four fixed wheels for mobility.
- Solutions that are safe, trustworthy, and convenient for farebox revenue collection counting and deposits.
- Convenient solutions would be those that require minimum involvement of agency staff and provide secure deposit tracking.
- Services include:
• Service overview for the pickup, transport, counting operations, and deposit of coin and cash currency;
• Key considerations to ensure security and accuracy in the counting process;
• Safety considerations;
• Experience handling similar operations;
• Information on data and reporting;
• Any other relevant information.
