The vendor is required to provide physical safety, security, and risk assessment pertaining to the health connector’s technology systems and cybercrime.
- Workplace safety, security and risk assessment
• Assessment of access control: review of current building and offices entry and exit points;
• Assessment of any cctv and sensors: assessment of any current security cameras, sensors and other security technology currently sited at strategic locations to monitor activities inside and outside the office and detect unauthorized access or suspicious behavior;
• Assess fire safety: assess compliance with the regulations and code, which dictates requirements for fire detection and suppression systems, emergency exits, and safe storage practices;
• Assess current health connector safety policies, procedures and protocols assess current health connector safety-related training and drills and provide templates for any needed documented policies, procedures and protocols; and
• Assess current health and safety equipment, material, and tools available to employees.
- Risk assessment report and recommendations
• Address the current state of security, hazards, and security risks in the health connector’s environment and the quality of any of its published security policies (including the health connector’s current proposed security policy) and procedures and actual practices;
• Assess current emergency preparedness measures, and any safety protocols including, without limitation, any current emergency action plans, for various scenarios such as fire, medical emergencies, civil unrest and active threats, emergency procedures, availability of safety equipment, and the current process for reporting incidents or hazards;
• Assess the current workplace violence prevention approach, including the health connector’s current workplace violence prevention policies, practices and procedures; and
• Make recommendations for:
o Improvements to the safety and security of the common areas of the building and the health connector’s physical space, any safety and security policies (including the health connector’s current proposed security policy), procedures, methods and tools (including without limitation cameras and sensors and security monitoring services), and equipment, and emergency preparedness, including detailed business and technical specifications for any hardware, software, monitoring services or other improvements referenced in such recommendations;
o Training and emergency preparedness drills for health connector staff; and
o Actions to foster a respectful and safe work environment, policies and procedures to address conflicts promptly, and ensure employee and manager preparedness to recognize and respond to potential threats, immanent threats, or violence in progress.
