The Vendor is required to provide tobacco quitline nicotine cessation treatment services via telephone and web-based platforms, including provisions for nicotine replacement therapy (NRT).
- Programmatic tobacco cessation activities:
1. Call volume management
• The quitline vendor will maintain a minimum rate of 80% of live call answers during the tips campaign or other national media campaigns.
• If there are barriers to achieving this standard, the office of adult health: tobacco control will immediately be notified so that available measures may be employed to ensure that this delivery is met.
• The quitline vendor will ensure adequate staffing to handle the call volume during the contract period.
• The office of adult health: tobacco control will ensure the promotion of the quitline vendor via the promotion of the availability of services by partners.
2. Enrollment management
• The quitline vendor will monitor and report the number of individuals completing enrollment in the behavioral health cessation program.
• The quitline vendor will monitor and report the number of individuals completing enrollment in the pregnancy cessation program.
3. Web-based services
• The quitline vendor will monitor and report the number of website hits and enrollments. Hits are defined as the total number of visits.
• The quitline vendor will monitor and report the number of enrollments via the web.
• Enrollments are defined as the number of visitors who register for services by completing an intake.
4. Digital platform services:
• The quitline vendor will monitor and report the number of enrollments for text a coach services.
• The quitline vendor will monitor and report the number of enrollments for email services.
5. Counseling:
• The quitline vendor will implement the protocol for participation in the counseling component of cessation treatment services.
• All participants will receive the 'quit guide' and other available cessation resources to aid in cessation efforts.
