Citywide Uniform Cleaning Services

The vendor is required to provide that citywide uniform cleaning services on an as-needed basis.
- Provide various cleaning services on city-owned uniforms and plain clothes, and be cleaned in compliance with industry cleaning standards to produce usable uniforms/clothes, without being exposed to harsh chemicals.
- It shall include, but not be limited to:
• Dry cleaning services
• Wet cleaning services
• Launder/iron and steam press services
1. Creasing may be requested
• Spot cleans, as necessary
• Alteration services, to include the following:
1. Hem pants
2. Sew on patches, various sizes
3. Sew on stripes, stars, name patches
4. Taper services on various type clothes, such as pants, jeans, sleeves, etc.
5. Zipper repairs
6. Button replacements. (Police department shall provide their own replacement buttons.)
7. Other services as offered by proposer
- A list of types of clothing that may need to be cleaned:
• Shirts, both short and long sleeve, various materials
• Pants, various materials
• Jeans
• Shorts, various materials
• Jackets, various weights and materials
• Jacket liners
• Sports coats/blazers
• Blouse, various materials
• Skirt, various materials
• Dress, various materials
• Tie, silk, etc., may be of various materials
• Vests, various materials
• Vest liners, various materials
• Sweaters
• Jumpsuits, cotton, nylon, etc.
• Scarf/sash, various materials
- All uniforms in compliance with industry cleaning standards.
- Provide quarterly reports outlining all purchases made by line item to include quantities and total cost for each service or product processed
- Vided of unacceptable quality shall be rejected and accomplished by the contractor at no additional cost to the city.
- Contract Period/Term: 2 years
