The Vendor is required to provide printing and distribution for state highways magazine.
- The Magazine is 10 issues/year publication that has established a reputation for superior quality web offset printing and is extensively illustrated with full color images throughout.
- To assure continuance of this level of excellence, a purchase order will be issued only to a vendor currently producing comparable publications and one that can document its capabilities in all phases of printing.
- Obtain prior written approval from the manager before transferring any production work, in whole or in part, from the primary production facility.
- Communicate directly with the manager on any problems or concerns that may occur during production on the pre-press files.
- The online editing environment must allow for multiple users logged in at the same time with the ability to leave detailed notes that can be shared by every user.
- if the print quantity falls to 170,000 copies, the amount representing 5,000 copies multiplied by the per thousand rate shall be deducted from the invoice.
- Use Orion Web Gloss Recycled Number 3, 50-pound, white, with a target brightness of 86 and a minimum opacity of 90 or manager approved equal.
- Use Orion Web Gloss Recycled Number 3, 80-pound, white, with a target brightness of 88, and a minimum opacity of 94 or manager approved equal.
- Inks that are high strength cover and provide maximum coverage as well as quality on the cover.
- Print the magazine on a combination of 4-, 8-, 16-, or 32-page signatures that provide the most economical configuration unless otherwise determined by the manager.
- Change the number of magazines packed per box as requested in writing by the manager, if the number of pages per issue changes.
