Vendors to fabricate, furnish, deliver, and install the University’s new campus wayfinding and signage system.
- Services include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Project Coordination
• Attend a project kickoff meeting with University Facilities Services.
• Review the completed signage design, drawings, specifications, and signage schedule.
• Verify site conditions and proposed signage locations prior to fabrication.
• Coordinate installation activities with University Facilities Services and other campus activities.
2. Shop Drawings and Submittals
• Prepare and submit shop drawings, material samples, color samples, and fabrication details for BHSU review and approval prior to fabrication.
• Identify any discrepancies between the design documents and existing site conditions.
• Obtain University approval of all required submittals before beginning fabrication.
3. Sign Fabrication
• Fabricate all signage identified in the project documents in accordance with the approved design, dimensions, materials, colors, graphics, typography, and construction details.
• Provide all necessary mounting hardware, supports, posts, brackets, foundations, and related components.
• Ensure all signage is fabricated to withstand exterior campus conditions and is suitable for the intended application.
4. Existing Signage
• Remove existing signage identified by University for replacement.
• Properly dispose of or return removed signage as directed by University.
• Repair or restore disturbed surfaces resulting from removal and installation activities.
5. Delivery and Installation
• Deliver all signage and associated materials to the BHSU campus.
• Install signage at the locations identified in the project documents.
• Provide all necessary equipment, labor, excavation, concrete, anchoring, electrical connections, and other work required for a complete installation.
• Verify sign placement, orientation, height, alignment, and visibility prior to final acceptance.
6. Site Restoration
• Protect existing buildings, landscaping, sidewalks, utilities, and other campus infrastructure during installation.
• Restore disturbed landscaping, pavement, concrete, or other surfaces associated with the work.
• Remove all construction debris, excess materials, and temporary signage from the work areas.
7. Quality Control and Final Completion
• Inspect all installed signage for proper fabrication, finish, alignment, attachment, and appearance.
• Correct defective, damaged, or improperly installed signage at no additional cost to University.
• Complete a final walkthrough with University Facilities Services.
• Address all punch-list items prior to final acceptance.
• Provide warranty documentation, maintenance information, and other closeout documents.
Proposals for GDA-0420 are due by October 15, 2026.
