The Vendor is required to provide a comprehensive, on-site, and off-site employee assistance program (EAP) for use by qualified university employees and dependents.
- The employee assistance program shall encompass the provision of short-term counseling related to alcohol and drug abuse, legal problems, job-related conflicts, health, personal and family relationships, financial problems, emotional and behavioral problems, all of which may adversely affect an employee’s on-the job performance.
- The EAP Contractor shall act solely as an assessment, short-term counseling, and referral service, directing employees and/or their dependents to the appropriate certified or accredited counseling programs.
- EAP counseling involvement with employees and/or dependents shall be limited each term of coverage (university fiscal year) to three (3) counseling sessions per employee (or dependent, as applicable) unless otherwise approved through university Employee Relations.
- Provide information on the types of issues an EAP service can address and distribution of literature, i.e., brochures, wallet cards, letters, etc.
- Provide a plan of action for educational and training sessions, including making employees aware of supervisory referral and voluntary use of the program.
