Superintendent Search Firm Services

Vendors to provide a fixed price contract, through competitive negotiations for a superintendent search firm and assistance in the superintendent selection process for Academy District 20.
- Specifically, the contractor shall perform, but not be limited to, the following comprehensive evaluations:
a. Assist the Board of Education in preparing the profile for superintendent, after community input.
b. Provide a suggested format for the interview process and develop a list of potential interview questions. This information will become the property of Academy District 20 at the conclusion of this project.
c. Provide a detailed search work plan and schedule and identify the search firm, the Board of Education and staff members' roles throughout the search process.
d. Actively recruit individuals who have a high probability of success in ASD20 meeting the requirements specified in the Board's profile for the superintendent.
e. Conduct reference checks on potential candidates and compare potential candidates (via resume and preliminary interviews) to identify each candidate's characteristics and qualities.
f. Identify support needed from ASD20 departments.
g. Provide technical, administrative, and logistical support for the interview process, stakeholder input, site visits, and the final selection negotiations.
h. Provide and support a comprehensive superintendent transition plan that ensures organizational stability and seamless leadership integration through the new superintendent's first year.
i. Other services: Assist in arranging visits to final applicants' current work sites by select Board of Education members, if determined to be necessary. The contractor's staff must be available for consultation with ASD20 staff on an as-needed basis.
