The vendor is required to provide shredding services equipment, materials, supplies and related services for the city.
- The city with confidential document, media shredding and destruction services.
- The contractor shall, on a weekly, bi-weekly, tri-weekly, monthly, or as needed perform shredding and destruction of all documents and media placed in secured bins placed by city staff.
- Items shredded and destroyed shall include:
• Paper, boxed records, cardboards
• Microfilms, microfiche
• DVDs and CDs
• Audio or video tapes
• Computer hard drives, solid state drives, flash storage devices
- Specific requirements
• On-site destruction of materials under the supervision of pe staff upon request scheduled through an appointment with the property and evidence unit
• Destruction methods compliant with applicable industry standards, ensuring data is permanently unrecoverable.
• Provision of destruction certificates identifying the date, method, and confirmation of completion
• Flexibility to process varying volumes of media, as pe cannot predetermine the quantity requiring destruction at any given time.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all materials received and shall not permit access, disclosure, or duplication of information contained on any media.
