Shredding Services

The vendor is required to provide secure, reliable, and cost-effective shredding services for the district from a vendor capable of handling the secure destruction of confidential records.
- Provide shredding services that ensure all documents and media are destroyed in a secure, reliable, and compliant manner. 
- Shredding must render materials unreadable and meet industry standards for both paper and electronic media. 
- The vendor must supply and maintain lockable collection containers of different sizes at no cost to the district, ensuring contents remain secure until destruction. 
- All handling, transport, and shredding must follow strict chain-of-custody procedures, with employees trained, background-checked, and clearly identified. 
- Certificates of destruction must be issued after each service, documenting what was shredded and when, along with service logs and recycling reports as needed. 
- The vendor must be able to service multiple district sites on a regular schedule, respond to on-call requests within 48 hours, and provide mobile trucks for on-site shredding when required. 
- All shredded materials must be recycled, and the vendor shall provide reports verifying environmentally responsible disposal. 
- Services must include both on-site and off-site shredding with documented chain-of-custody, regularly scheduled and on-call service options, and the supply and maintenance of secure, lockable collection containers at district facilities.
- Vendor employees must be background-checked, trained in secure document handling, and follow strict security protocols. 
- A certificate of destruction must be issued after each service, documenting the date, location, and volume destroyed. 
- Provide periodic reports on service completion and sustainability outcomes, designate a single point of contact for coordination, and respond promptly to service requests.
