The vendor required to provide medical director services for include:
- Juvenile services
• Review history and current health care of residents upon admission and as needed.
• Review all medications upon admission and periodically thereafter.
• Provide a minimum of 20 clinical hours per month on-site for assessments, chart reviews, and documentation.
• Participate in quarterly reviews, service plan updates, and related meetings.
• Provide leadership and oversight for the agency’s health services and staff.
• Provide 24/7 on-call services for urgent juvenile medical needs.
- Integrated behavioral healthcare
• Assess residents for continued stay to ensure the ICF can meet their medical needs.
• Review resident medications quarterly and as needed.
• Provide 20 clinical hours per month per house (40 total hours across both facilities).
• Provide one resident-specific clinical hour per month (5 residents per house).
• May provide up to 5 hours per month of urgent medical consultation (afterhours and weekends).
• Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and processes.
• Serve on the specially constituted committee.
• Recertify Medicaid placement for residents annually.
• Authorize use of provider’s NPI for billing claims to DMAS.
• Support quality improvement programs related to resident care.
