The Vendor is required to provide under the direction of the department executive director (or designee), on-call workplace investigative services of high-level management employees or other workplace complaints filed by or against department employees.
- The work to be performed by the selected firm(s) will include:
• Conduct prompt, thorough, objective, and confidential workplace investigations of employees and employee complaints as required.
• Work with the executive director (or designee) as needed to establish the scope and method of investigations.
• Utilize proven and acceptable investigative techniques in accordance with department policies and procedures and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
• Conduct in-person, on-site interviews with complainant(s), witnesses, and individuals against whom complaints are filed to gather and analyze the facts associated with the complaints.
• Identify, collect, analyze, and preserve documentary and physical evidence related to the matters being investigated.
• Provide accurate, timely, and detailed briefings and written investigation reports to the executive director (or designee) in a timely manner and in most cases within 90 calendar days of notice to proceed.
• The executive director (or designee) will review the report and results of the investigation to determine if additional information is needed or if the investigation is complete.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with those parties involved in the investigation process.
• Provide findings and recommendations based on investigative fact-finding and analysis of those facts, to executive director (or designee) as needed.
