Background Screening Services

The Vendor is required to provide services for criminal background checks, financial checks, and miscellaneous background screenings for county on an as-needed basis.
- Individuals being screened are prospective employees of county or of employees transferring or being promoted to other positions.
- Preferred that the respondent be a company engaged in the business of providing criminal background checks for pre-employment screening service for a minimum of five (5) years within the last seven (7) years.
- Provide all requested pre-employment verification and vendor screening reports exclusively to the applicant and to county designated representative(s) per department.
- Must verify the accuracy of any adverse records generated during the completion of background screenings.
- Must specify where they obtain background check information on background check reports.
- Provided websites must have security measures to prevent information theft during all interactions with the website. 
- Interactions include, but are not limited to, requests to complete background checks and applicant information submissions.
- Provided website must be accessible twenty-four (24) hours a day for use by designated county representatives.
- Provided website must be able to support a minimum of 10 user accounts.
- Provided websites must be able to digitally receive background check requests submitted by designated county representatives.
- Provided website must be able to provide current completion status information for pending report requests.
- Provided website must be able to provide a link to completed background check documents with the capability for designated county representatives to print background check documents.
- Provided website must be able to issue electronic correspondence created by county designated representatives to applicants.
- Website must be able to generate monthly and yearly usage reports that must include, but is/are not limited to, applicant name, last four (4) digits of social security number, type of background check requested, and the name of county representative who submitted the background check request.
