The vendor is required to provide that legal counsel, advice, and opinions, responding within 24-hours or sooner to inquiries, both written and verbal, as requested by the school board and the administration in the following areas, specifically:
• School board bylaws and policies and administrative procedures;
• Compliance with the state freedom of information act;
• State and local government conflict of interests act and ethics in public contracting;
• State public procurement act;
• Employment law (FLSA);
• Policy matters;
• Insurance and risk management;
• Special education matters, including advice on public law 94-142;
• Environmental, labor, criminal, investment, and trust and foundation laws; and
• Due process hearings for special education and hearings.
• Matters requiring legal counsel input or advice.
