The vendor is required to provide to engage multiple firms to provide comprehensive legal services on a turn-key basis.
- Require legal advice, assistance, and representation in a variety of areas, on a non-exclusive and as-needed basis.
- Provide legal services related to school law issues.
- Provide legal services for employee relations, human resources, student personnel, students with special needs and disabilities, and other related matters.
- Review and draft district facilities-related contracts, memoranda of understanding (MOUS), procurement-related documents, and provide related legal advice.
- Prepare standardized forms and associated procedures for all customary real estate transactions.
- Prepare standardized forms and associated procedures for the district’s capital improvement program development.
- Review terms and/or participate in negotiations, draft revisions to, and review agreements related to the transfer of responsibility for facilities from the district to various entities.
- This includes conditions for shared-use facilities, historical buildings, lease transfers, etc.
- Provide legal services for bond work, public finance, school finance, and other related matters.
- General liability matters such as personal injury, property damage, toxic torts, and professional liability.
- Commercial issues, including contractual disputes, tax matters, trade secrets, intellectual property, arbitration, insurance, environmental issues, etc.
- Provide staff development at least once annually without charge through the district’s professional development academy.
