The Vendor is required to provide all the necessary personnel, legal expertise, and resources needed to provide legal services for fair housing and public housing policy matters. On an “as-needed basis”:
• Provide legal advice and representation of authority in legal proceedings, administrative hearings, and mediation etc.
• Draft and submit all necessary pre-litigation notices, claims, and legal pleadings;
• Provide evaluation and strategy development for fair housing and public housing policy matters, including recommendations, action plans, and timeline for key milestones;
• Engage with necessary third parties on authority behalf to resolve disputes, such as opposing counsel and insurance companies;
• Draft policies, and other legal documents related to fair housing and public housing policy services when needed;
• Demonstrate efficient management of assignments and timely legal support;
• Provide regular status reports on the progress of the matters assigned to the firm;
• Identify and immediately notify authority of any potential conflicts of interest which may arise during the period of performance, and undertake the necessary immediate steps to eliminate the source of the potential conflict to the satisfaction of authority;
• Provide any additional legal services as mutually agreed upon by both parties; and
• Legal services may be requested by authority president and CEO, authority general counsel, or their designees.
