The Vendor is required to provide a legal services provider that demonstrates subject matter expertise, responsiveness, and a clear understanding of the legal landscape affecting public sector operations.
- Legal services may be required on an as-needed basis through ongoing support depending on the needs of agency.
- Services include:
• General legal advice and representation regarding all legal matters required by agency,
• Legal advice and representation regarding all labor relations matters, including grievances, arbitration cases, collective bargaining, national labor relations board and state employment relations commission matters, including administrative agency investigations, hearings, and court trails.
• Day to day ongoing advice and counsel to agency management on all types of employees, labor relations, human resources and other issues, where sound legal advice and a prompt response are required.
• Advice regarding general corporate matters, including review and assistance in drafting advertising, supply, purchase, and other contracts as requested.
• Presentation of in-service training programs for manager and supervisors regarding topics as requested by agency.
• Legal research and informal oral and formal written opinions based thereon with regard to any subject as requested by agency.
• Legal research and preparation of written briefs and oral argument in all cases where so required, before administrative agencies and federal and state courts.
• Advice regarding all employment practices, including hiring and termination, employment applications, employee handbooks, and policy and procedure manuals.
