Independent Commissioning Authority Consultant Services

The vendor is required to provide independent commissioning authority consultant services for include:
• Confirmed that the fire hall plan layouts fit and function on the new greenfield site, including:
o Clarified the purpose of the 'outdoor area' and 'outdoor covered storage' areas.
o Confirmed the number of parking stalls, their sizes, use (staff or visitors), and location.
• Confirmed specific outdoor fire hall functions and programs, such as:
o Requirement for pass-through bays (function not required as trucks will be backed into the apparatus bay).
o Requirements for an outdoor training area (required and located at the rear of the site).
o Heat tracing for the apparatus bay apron (required and will be provided for the first 6'-0" of the apron).
o Locations and areas for snow storage.
o Requirements for car plug-ins and EV charging stations.
• Confirmed and locating main site service lines and tie-in points (in progress).
• Reviewed existing and proposed topographic conditions (in progress).
• Developed strategies for building drainage (in progress).
• Reviewed any specific landscaping requirements (in progress).
• Verified locations of generators, propane tanks, and transformer pads (in progress).
- Development of the fire hall plans
• Reviewed previous fire hall plans and provide a gap analysis to enhance efficiency and functionality.
• Verified and confirmed specific fire hall requirements and requests identified in previous workshops and meetings.
• Made layout recommendations to ensure timely emergency response and preparedness.
• Reviewed agency guidelines and requirements.
• Verified fire hall-specific requests and requirements from the feasibility report.
• Prepared a room-by-room area comparison chart between the feasibility concept plans and the current schematic plans.
• Added a backdoor staff entrance from the outdoor staff parking area.
• Reviewed window locations.
