The vendor is required to provide the types of planning, engineering, design and consulting services required on an “as required” basis may include but is not limited to the following:
1. Consultation
• Organizing and leading public consultations
• Organizing and leading internal and external stakeholder and engagement with indigenous communities
2. Design
• Preparing functional design options (horizontal design, pre-30% design)
• Reviewing and providing recommendations on design of active transportation and micro mobility facilities
• Preparing pavement marking and non-intrusive design drawings for implementation
• Developing design specifications and preparing details based on best industry practices
• Creating maps and scalable existing condition auto cad drawings by transcribing aerial photography.
• The drawing features will include but not limited to: curbs, pavement markings, poles, manholes, hand wells, sidewalks, paths, walkways, fences, hedges, trees, signs, transformers, utility boxes/cabinets and other features within and near the right of way and any combination thereof
• Conducting swept path analysis using auto turn software
• Conduct arborist assessments and prepare related reports
• Conducting street illumination assessments
3. Analysis and data collection
• Designing and carrying out traffic and parking studies, including conducting traffic analysis using the synchro software suite, and parking surveys, to determine any potential impacts of active transportation and micro mobility infrastructure
• Undertaking vehicle travel time surveys or collecting vehicle travel time data
• Preparing maps and conducting geospatial analysis in ArcGIS software.
