The Vendor is required to provide consulting services to the new sign by-law will allow the public, consultants and landowners to easily navigate specific sign requirements within the permitted use of the town's zoning by-law.
- Requirement:
1. Communication
• Identify meetings and other communication measures with internal and external stakeholders and related groups, as needed.
• Plan for in-person in-person public engagement meetings.
• Engage with members of the public and council.
• Ensure that a clear and engaging public process informs the drafting of the new sign by-law.
• The consultant will also provide advice and presentations to council as deemed necessary by town staff
• The consultant in coordination with the town shall be responsible for directly responding to written enquiries, including but not limited to email and online correspondence.
• Dedicated email address to be provided by the town.
2. Consultant's services
• Allocating the necessary resources to undertake the scope of work as defined in this RFP and the consultant's approved work plan and schedule;
• Providing directions for data collection;
• Assessment and data interpretation;
• Undertaking research and preparing materials and reports for staff review and input by council;
• Ensuring the deliverables and supporting activities are of high quality;
• Working collaboratively with town staff to achieve a mutually acceptable project outcome;
• Assist in identifying stakeholders and various committees;
• Engaging with town staff
• Meeting the timeframes as identified in the approved work plan and schedule;
• Identifying opportunities for innovation and best practices;
• Identifying and controlling areas of project risk;
• Facilitating and attending meetings and the preparation of presentation materials,
• Managing the study specific public consultation program, including facilitating public and stakeholder workshops, open houses and meetings, where required; and,
• Delivering presentations and providing report content phis for council meetings.
