The Vendor is required to provide advertising in and on county-owned shelters and benches, interior and exterior bus advertisements.
- Shelter/bench advertising
• GVT has 165 number of out-of-home (ooh) advertising opportunities on benches and shelters.
• Advertising space including a map and chart showing the number of stops including amenities and advertising types.
• All current bench advertisements have a finished print size of 23.75” x 71.5”.
• All current shelter advertisements have a finished print size of 45.75” x 66.5”.
• Advertisements are currently printed on self-adhesive vinyl sheets.
• Offeror may propose a different material, but materials must be durable to the elements and easy to clean.
- Interior bus advertising
• Interior bus advertising is available only in the low-floor buses, which are used for fixed-route and are equipped with curved longitudinal advertising racks that run from the front to the rear of the bus on both sides above the windows.
• Each rack is roughly 11 inches tall.
• Advertising placed in the racks are held securely in place with straps at both ends and run from the front to the rear of the bus on both sides above the windows.
- Exterior bus advertising
• Exterior bus advertising is available on a variety of bus types.
• Buses used on both fixed-route and paratransit have available advertising space.
• Advertising space includes driver side panels, passenger side panels, and back panels.
• Buses are removed from service regularly for preventative maintenance and the amount of time needed for unscheduled maintenance and repairs is unforeseen.
• Accidents and major repairs can remove a bus from service for significant amounts of time.
• Advertisements must be on non-permanent adhesive vinyl material, “direct application”.
- Unacceptable advertising content
• False, misleading, deceptive or libelous
• Involves tobacco or tobacco related products
• Involves marijuana or marijuana related products
• Involves alcohol or alcoholic related products
• Obscene or promotes cannabis, x rated movies, adult book stores, adult video stores, nude dance clubs, adult internet sites and escort services
• Involves unlawful or illegal goods (including drugs), services or activities
• Depiction of the use of firearms
• Political campaigns or political issues
• That tends to incite violent, criminal, or anti-social behavior or an imminent breach of the peace, including, but not limited to, epithets based on race, color, creed, religion or gender
• That ridicules individuals or groups of people
• Religious issues or promotion of religion
• Infringement on any copyright, trade or service mark, title or slogan
• Implication of endorsement of any goods, services, or activities by the county
• Conflictual in nature with the mission of mesa county government and its affiliated departments.
