The Vendor is required to provide public relations services related to crisis communications, including but not limited to developing a strategic communications plan, addressing unforeseen communications issues, addressing media inquiries, and/or utilizing social media to generate positive publicity and grow agency online presence.
- Provide all the necessary personnel, supervision, equipment, tools, supplies, materials, transportation, and any other item(s), resource(s), or service(s), needed to perform the following tasks, which includes, but is not limited to:
• Working in partnership with the in-house staff to develop and execute a crisis communications plan;
• Addressing (proactively and effectively), anticipated or unforeseen complex or controversial communication issues;
• Producing proposed statements and news story ideas, suggest responses to media inquiries and recommend media interviews and other communications opportunities;
• Drafting proposed media talking points and coach designated spokesperson(s) in preparation for media interviews;
• Providing strategic communications counsel, including consulting on critical or unforeseen complex issues that could arise and recommendations to address them;
• Engaging community organizations to support agency efforts;
• Consulting with agency officials to further identify issues, messages, and all other items associated with the recommended public relations strategies; and,
• Utilizing:
1. Social media to respond to public relations emergencies and crises, generate positive publicity and grow the housing authority’s overall social media presence; and,
2. Tools, and technology (including digital media and blogging), to respond to public relations emergencies and crises, and support day to day marketing efforts.
