The vendor is required to provide strategic international communications and media relations support services and implementation for the release of the global burden of disease and injuries (GBD) 2023 capstones in the lancet.
- Provides an impartial, evidence-based picture of global health trends to inform the work of policymakers, researchers, and funders.
- Partners to drive the dissemination, communications, and media relations work for current and future work related to the promotion and dissemination of GBD research.
- The work will include driving media relations, and communications work for GBD papers via strategic approaches that align with the overarching agency brand, organizational strategies, and goals
- Establish a relationship with a firm who will provide these capabilities and expertise to bolster current and future dissemination of agency research.
- The communications firm will be expected to drive media relations for each paper, including message development, produce press releases, conduct targeted pitching to global media outlets, develop GBD FAQs and reactive messaging for tough questions, develop guidance on managing potential reputation risks related to the research findings, and conduct media coaching for interviews as necessary.
- The firm will also be expected to help facilitate connections and relationship building with policymakers to bolster agency overarching goal of providing decisionmakers with research in order to inform policy impact.
