The Vendor is required to provide comprehensive legal services.
- Provide legal advice and representation to the board, the superintendent, and district-level administrators on a wide range of issues.
- These include but are not limited to education law, labor and employment law, contracts, real estate, student matters, and litigation.
- Services include:
• Provide legal counsel to the board, superintendent, and district staff.
• Attend board meetings and closed sessions as requested.
• Assist with policy development and review.
• Provide guidance on public meetings, open records, and ethical compliance.
• Advise on personnel matters, including hiring, terminations, grievances, and disputes.
• Represent the district in administrative and legal proceedings, including employment-related litigation and special education due process hearings.
• Review and draft contracts, proposals, leases, and agreements.
• Advise on procurement, facilities, construction, and real estate matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
• Conduct legal training sessions for board members and administrators, as needed.
• Be responsive to urgent matters that arise requiring immediate legal attention.
