The vendor is required to provide court interpreter services on an as needed basis.
- Provide court interpreter services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
- District court requires a wide range of languages for interpretation, however several can be identified as the “most common” languages.
- The most common languages utilized by the court include:
• American Sign Language
• Arabic
• Chaldean
• Bengali
• Spanish
• Wolof
• Cantonese
• Chinese
• Albanian
- ASL interpreters supplied by the awarded vendor(s) shall adhere to the registry of interpreters for the deaf (RID) code of professional conduct.
- Provide a primary point of contact where all complaints, conflicts, or other issues between the city and the vendor(s) can be resolved.
- Provided to the district court:
• Have been convicted of a violent or serious felony.
• Are the subject of a pending criminal litigation of a violent or serious felony?
• Have been convicted of a sexual offense or any additional crime that by applicable state and federal law prohibits an individual from working with or around minor children or within a school.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
